Integration Server 2.1 announced

StepStream announces Integration Server IS 2.1 to come in Q4/2005 with over 50 improvements including a completely new designed Graphical User Interface.

The Graphical User Interface is called StepStream Management Console (SMC) and will contain plugins for:

  • Management
  • Design
  • Surveillance

It features multiple server connections, user management and comes with complete Javadoc for user extensions.

Management Plugin

The Management Plugin allows - as already seen in the release candidate - inspecting the current configuration as well as analyzing the current status. Further on the configuration will now be writable.

A newly designed treeview allows multiple StepStream IS / FIH instances to be managed simultaneously.

Starting and stopping of single Steplets will be extended to starting whole StepStream instances.

Mapper Plugin

The Business Repository will be available via SMC. In fact, not only one plugin will be available, but multiple plugins for mapping, namespace design and value mapping.

The mapping plugin features drag-and-drop, mapping verification at design time and preview.

More features are work in progress, like plugins to view the logs and archived messages.
