About us

StepStream is an innovative software company providing integration solutions to organisations which estimate simplicity, efficiency and transparency over hugh monolithic approches.

History

As veterans in software development and consulting, we - the company founders - observed a variety of approaches to solve integration problems ranging from hardcoded knowledge via Quick-Win's to hugh integration servers. The first lacked transparency, maintainability and induced problems when human resources changed; the latter required hugh investments in software and education, and mostly lead to long running projects with uncertain success.

We felt that we could do better and created a simple application integration framework; we involved endusers and business people right from the beginning to avoid the typical communication problems between business and IT. These first efforts evolved to StepStream Integration Suite. In 2004 the company was founded as a spin off of FACT Unternehmensberatung GmbH well known in european financial industry.

Our mission is to bring a different kind of company to the customer - one that listens to client needs, values innovation in development and solves customer problems with outstanding simplicity.
